Dear Members of the Oakland Stake,
It is an Oakland Stake holiday tradition since 2013 to serve with other Oakland churches by giving out turkeys and groceries for Thanksgiving meals. Pastor Michael Wallace at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church organizes and coordinates this effort among several local Christian congregations. We are happy to provide volunteers and food! LDS Humanitarian Services has approved the delivery of 1200 turkeys, packages of stuffing, and other canned foods to feed our neighbors.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the broader Christian and Oakland communities to provide relief. Please consider participating in one of these shifts.
